A small group of believers earnestly prayed for Revival in England at the beginning of the twentieth century. Little did they know how God would answer that prayer – an answer that would impact the church worldwide. This revival would lead to the birth of Pentecostalism in Britain and awaken people to a new relationship with God. Sunderland 1907 – This documentary looks at the British Pentecostal Movement and its origins in the twentieth century. In a series of meetings in Sunderland 1907 held by Alexander Boddy, an Angelican Vicar, and Thomas Barratt, a minister from Norway there was an “”Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.”” God moved through this revival leading to ongoing meetings and conventions for several years. God raised up ministries and impacted a number of key individuals such as Smith Wigglesworth, Thomas Myerscough, W.F.B. Burron, James Salter, George Jeffreys, Stephen Jeffreys and others to go and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and the message of Pentecost. Smith Wigglesworth – Smith Wigglesworth was an evangelist from West Yorkshire, England, who dared to believe that all things are possible. He affected the Pentecostal movement worldwide more than any other individual in the twentieth century. He brought in a multitude of souls for Jesus, and signs and wonders would follow wherever he preached the Gospel. Stephen and George Jeffreys – Two brothers from a mining family in the valleys of South Wales got saved during the Welsh revival. They would go on to evangelize and establish New Testament churches throughout the United Kingdom. They were Stephen and George Jeffreys. George Jeffreys was the founder of the Elim Pentecostal movement which still continues today. He had some of the largest evangelistic meetings the UK has ever witnessed. Stephen Jeffreys would fill many New Testament churches through his evangelism campaigns across the United Kingdom. Director: Gary Wilkinson Starring: Dr. Neil Hudson, Keith Malcomson, Des Cartwright

John Newton was a troubled young man with a violent temper and a penchant for vulgarity that literally made his fellow sailors blush. Whipped for desertion and sold into slavery, it seemed his life would end early in a West African grave…until he was rescued by a ship captain sent by his father. Following a powerful conversion experience during a storm at sea, Newton would eventually become a pastor in the Church of England and the writer of several of the church’s most beloved hymns, including “Amazing Grace.” But before that, Newton, the former slave, was appointed captain of a slave ship himself. In an age when human bondage was considered the norm, it would take time for Newton’s conscience to be thoroughly transformed. But Newton came to hate the slave trade, becoming a spiritual leader in the fight to end slavery. Newton’s Grace is the true story of a real “Prodigal Son,” the story of miraculous forgiveness and change that lies behind the powerful words of one of the world’s most beloved hymns. The Story of the Twelve Apostles | Full Movie They started out as average, unexceptional men of their time: fishermen, farmers, local magistrates. But their dedication to a prophetic Jewish preacher in the backwaters of the Roman Empire transformed them into revolutionaries and, in the process, changed the world itself in ways that would reverberate across time for two thousand years. Now, discover the extraordinary, untold stories of the men chosen by Jesus to bring God’s plan to the world. Among them are Peter, who denied Christ three times but later became a “Rock,” James and John, the fiery tempered “sons of thunder,” Matthew, the tax collector later murdered by cannibals, Simon the Zealot, the anti-Roman fanatic eventually “cut to pieces” preaching in Spain, and Judas Iscariot, whose betrayal would be paid for with silver and suicide. From their early fear and discouragement at the shock of the Crucifixion, to the final acceptance of the resurrection and their epic mission to spread the Gospel through the known world, it’s an inspiring, astonishing story of the little-known men who became The Twelve Apostles.
